Herb of the month: Waxflower - Chamelaucium Uncinatum
Geraldton wax is a flowering plant endemic to Western Australia. It is a plant from the myrtle family, an erect shrub 0.5 to 4m high, bearing white or pink flowers June-November.
It is very drought-tolerant and has aromatic leaves. When rubbing the leaves they will give off a pleasant lemon aroma.
The healing effect: against inflammation, cough, mucus and all sorts of cold symptoms. It opens the bronchias and together with thyme a perfect corporation in your fight against a flu.
