Herbal Remedies - The power of nature and what this has to do with our health

1924 Bayview Court, Kelowna, V1Z 3L8, 250-769-0719

Herbal remedies, the different way to live a healthy live.
You find herbal remedies in different forms like salves, tonics, tinctures or teas.

Herbal remedies can treat and prevent disease and illness of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive nervous, urinary systems as well as skin disorders.

Herb your Soul's remedies are made of 100% herbal oils or concentrates set up of local herbs in a certain extraction process.
Only bees wax and cacao butter grant the texture of a slave.
An herbal salve is a topical substance, such as a paste, cream, lotion or ointment that promotes healing. Salves can be used to draw out pus and infection, treat skin disorders and/or soothe burns, abrasions and other skin irritations. (source: herbalremediesinfo.com)

A tincure is an alcoholic concentrate of herbs. Your herbalist allows the tincture to sit a least 4-6 weeks (the longer the better) to acheive the best result of this extraction process.

For more information about herbal remedies I look forward to welcoming you in one of my herbology workshops.

Herb Your Soul – Herb of the Month - Marigold

Calendula officinalis (pot marigold) is a plant in the genus Calendula (pot marigolds), in the family Asteraceae. It is probably native to southern Europe though its long history of cultivation makes its precise origin unknown, and may possibly be of garden origin. It is also widely naturalized further north in Europe (north to southern England) and elsewhere in warm temperate regions of the world.
Healing effect: Plant pharmacological studies have suggested that Calendula extracts may have anti-viral, anti-genotoxic and anti-inflammatory properties
Calendula are considered by many gardening experts as one of the most versatile flowers to grow in a garden, especially since they are easy to grow, and tolerate most soils. In temperate climates, sow seed in spring for blooms that last throughout the summer and well into the fall. In areas of little winter freezing (USDA zones 8-11), sow seeds in autumn for winter color, plants will wither in subtropical summer. Seeds will germinate freely in sunny or half-sunny locations, but plants do best if planted in sunny locations with rich, well-drained soil. (www.wikipedia.org)
